Nice local place with great burgers. Service was good and it was a nice departure from the chain mid-casual options. Eat local!
Such a unique and tasty restaurant! They have a big menu, with something for everyone. A newer take on Southern cuisine. If you are new to town, this place is definitely worth trying out. Definitely one of my favorites!
The staff and the food were awesome. My husband and I had the Spicy Shrimp Po' Boy and The Reagan. Both were absolutely delicious. I think they both could have used a little more sauce, but I love a good sauce, so I'd recommend requesting a side of the sauce with your sandwich/burger. The regular fries were decent but nothing to write home about, and the sweet potato fries were lackluster at best. I would be fine with ordering the regular fries as a side again, but I wouldn't order the sweet potato fries again, and I'll almost always choose sweet potato fries over regular fries.
I've been to UpTown several times. It is, without a doubt, my favorite breakfast joint anywhere in Florida. It is traditional diner food, but it's traditional diner food elevated. For example, they have corn beef hash, but it's homemade corn beef hash, not from out of a can. They have grits, but it's dill cream cheese grits. They have sweet tea, but it's mint sweet tea. I've been greated by the owner, Fred, every time I've gone. Service is always great. Our food is always served with a smile. The food is All-around great, and the coffee is always hot. Five star rating. 10 out of 10. Will be back my next visit to Tallahassee.
You will very likely find something you love (not just burgers, although that is the reason you come here) and then order it every single time you come back. Service is great. Burgers are some of the best you will find in our beloved Tallahassee. Indoor seating, outdoor seating. Enjoy this perfect Tallahassee gem.
