Don't really reccommend this place- you do not get what you pay for.
The location is nice and the apts come with nice furniture but the actual amenities are mostly broken. My building only comes with a study room but even after the office callibrated my key, it doesn't work to get in there. And, the gym available to me at another building has mostly broken equipment. Also, parkings really expensive- if they have a spot available for you. And moving in is rough because there's no elevators- so if you're parked in the garage that's an extra 2/3 flights of stairs to your apt.
Also probably one of the worst things- maintenance comes in unannounced!! They do not schedule a good time with you to come over, rather they just knock and come when it's convenient for them- regardless of if you're sleeping, showering etc...
I lived here for 3 years out of convenience and it has become a complete nightmare. The first property owners did a good job, but after the first year they sold it to new management and they do a terrible job. There are ALWAYS dogs in the pool, poop in the stairwells, people turning on the fire alarm in the middle of the night (happens at LEAST once a month), and the common areas are very dirty. Depending on what you are here for, there are always fraternities that take over the pool and play very loud music (there is no noise ordinance in Tally so they can do this). Also, the place was cheaply built- my roommate and I came back at the end of the summer and we had a horrible humidity problem. They put an industrial dehumidifier in our apartment for the entire year which was pumping out over a gallon of water a day. Before the humidifier, our clothes, purses, and books were all damp/wet. This was also happening to other units. Don't let them sell you on being "gated." There is no safety in this complex, all of the locks are broken and people can always get into the garages and common areas. They also tow like crazy here!!!! My roommate had her second car towed from HER space. Some people may find the towing to be helpful, but it is more of a pain than a help. The couches are plastic, so be prepared for that. The insides of the apartments are fine enough, but you have to be able to put up with a lot going on outside of the complex. The administration is very professional and the manager you talk to the first month won't be the same manager the next month- the turnover is unbelievably. Also, the common hallways are not enclosed, just FYI. Please live somewhere else, and if you do live here, please don't swim in the pool.
This is the worst apartment I have have ever lived in. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live( Campus Circle or Forum). If you are looking for a place with something always broken and not being fixed for a really long time then go for it. The office staff and maintenance could careless about the residents and the rent is way to expensive for how terrible this place really is.
I do not recommend living here, it may look nice but everything breaks and it's not worth the amount of money you pay a month. Also the gym equipment is always broken! Don't live here, live anywhere else in Collegetown if you're looking for a good location, it's too expensive and you will not be happy.
Don't live here! Everyone is saying it, I am also on my third year of living here and have had way too many problems. I pay for a parking spot yet get towed out of it, its also supposed to be gated but the gate is constantly broken so I never feel like my car is being safe and it's a waste of paying $35 a month for a "gated" secure parking spot!!! The building itself is very dirty, they do not clean anything from the stairwell to the hallways. Get ready to walk up flights of stairs because the elevators are also always broken. I have also had countless problems with the maintenance staff, they come in to my apartment unannounced and I can't schedule an appointment they just give a time window of 2-3 weeks of when they should be coming...some times I have been showering and they will still come in!!!! It's creepy. There's also a problem with work orders, they say they do them and I have to submit them multiple times and they never get done. My apartment has also had a mold problem, a cockroach problem, and fleas coming in from vents because theres so many pets that live here.
The day my daughter went to sign her lease and parked in "future resident parking" her car was towed! There was no manager on site so she had to stay overnight in order to get them to call the tow company since it was a "mistake" for them to have towed it!
Now that she signed the lease, they suddenly don't have a parking spot for her. Apparently they don't have enough spots to cover the amount of students they have renting apartments. With the amount of money paid each month for this apartment, this is unacceptable. And unless this is remedied ASAP, I'm gonna make sure to write up a review in every place I possibly can so that others don't make the same mistake as well as find a reputable apartment building for next year. Let's see if they can make things right ?
