And, since Railroad Square is actually a circle, it has always seemed fitting and properly- Tallahasseean that the House of Plywood would sell no plywood. (Boy, I'm going to miss telling visitors that!)
The House of Plywood has no plywood. They are custom sheet metal and restaurant-ventilation system installers. They moved this week to 1505 Capital Circle NW. Great guys. Railroad Square Art Park will sorely miss their presence.
FYI, The House of Plywood sign went up in 1964. They do just fine without advertising or answering their phone! If you've eaten in a restaurant within a hundred miles, they probably installed the kitchen hoods. In some restaurants, several times over....
I guess these people don't want to sell any plywood.
I have been trying to get a hold of these people for weeks. When you call them on the phone the only answer is a FAX machine. When you drive by their place there is a sign on the door, "be right back."
