My realtor hired Marlin Electrical to do some work on my new home before I moved in. I suppose he did what he was paid to do. However, after I moved in, I noticed that my lights were constantly flickering, and that the entire house would dim when I plugged in my crockpot or toaster. Ok, fair enough, it's an old house with old wiring. I certainly can't blame Marlin Electrical for that. Anyhow, I decided to call Marlin Electrical back to see what could be done. After describing the situation, the response I got was, "Well, that's how old houses are." He didn't see a need to come out and take a look. Um, what? I agree, the age of my house/electrical was a large part of the problem, but does that really mean that it's safe? After some pressing, he agreed to come out and take a look, but again, emphasized that, well, that's just how old houses are. I decided I'd rather trust my electrical needs to someone who was a bit less apathetic about my troubles. Found another electrician, who took my concerns seriously and was immediately able to assess the cause of the problem, point out other major problems with my electrical, and get started on the job. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your electrical needs.
