Overall, not a bad place. I had a blackened chicken sandwich with a vegetable kabob. The chicken was a bit dry, and the sandwich itself came with no sauce. Mayo and ketchup came on the side in packets. Not something I would normally expect of a steakhouse. The kabob was fantastic and had great flavor. Service was good, but a bit less attention to detail than what I would have expected given the environment. Very low price point, which forgives a lot of the complaints above. I was able to leave with tip for $12. Not bad!
Today I took a family of seven to Marie Livingston for Thanksgiving dinner and the wait time was horrible. Our reservations was suppose to be at two o'clock but we werent seared until 4:00 pm. We arrived at 1:45 thinking we would actually be seated within that time or maybe Ten minutes later. Once we were seated it took 45 more minutes to get our food. Once the food was served it was lukewarm, salty and the sweet potatoe casserole had chunks of sugar in it. The rolls were very hot and good. Why have reservations is my thing! I think they were just trying to get every penny they could. Tell the truth about reservations. Don't have people coming into your restaurant thinking that they will be seated at the time they expect! I will never go back to this place again. Not a Happy Thanksgiving!!

I wish I was able to rate the staff separately. My first time at Marie Livingston. Family had a 2pm seating for Thanksgiving Dinner and we didn't get seated until 3:30pm. We checked in at 1:30pm. In this day and age, this restaurant lacked automation. The staff's process was PAPER and PENCIL and running in and out the restaurant calling out names. The food was extremely salty, only 2 choices for dessert. The slice of cake was extremely thin...compared to what the earlier patrons received.
Service and bar has went down the drain lately. Kitchen did a great job with steaks and apps. We had to squeeze out own ketchup packets into a saucer. Waiter forgot everything. Probably his name by now. Manager thought we were trying get over on her with our groupon. $75 meal with a $20 tip. Only two people...get your $#!% together
5 stars for the young man and lady at the front desk managing the line wait and assisting with cleaning off the tables. 2 stars for the food...Seafood Gumbo was lukewarm, their were brown sugar clumps in the sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes and turkey extremely, pucker up, high-blood pressure salty, 2 stars due to wait time. 4 stars for the rolls...they were good and hot. I'm not really sure if management was prepared, however it will have me trying other restaurants for next year. Suggestion to management, if you're planning to try this again next year, honor all patrons reservations, know your seating capacity, have a seating schematic laid out, limit the time for patrons that do not know how to eat and leave, plan for the desserts.....meaning, have the patrons indicate their choice of meals and dessert within 5-7 days once reservations are confirmed----this will help you plan the food dishes appropriately.
I am sure this is a good restaurant, unfortunately management really failed their staff and patrons on Thanksgiving Day.
Thanksgiving meal ruined!... Thankful for many things in life - however this experience at Marie Livingston's is nothing to be thankful for.... left the restaurant waiting for 3 hours for our food that never came... even with reservations. If you, a business, advertise that you will serve Thanksgiving dinner and accept reservations... be prepared to accommodate your guests who want to enjoy their Thanksgiving! Of course there is a common acceptance as customers that it will be busy for a holiday... however a 3 hour wait and still no food is not acceptable. We like to support local businesses however this is one we will no longer support. We made reservations a week in advance for a family of 6 for 2:30 p.m. and didn't get seated until 4:00 pm. (Customers who made reservations for 12:30pm were just being seated when we arrived at 2:00pm.) We had to wait an additional 10 minutes because the table wasn't wiped down and had broken glass. It was obvious that additional tables had been brought in due to the lack of space between tables since the wait staff could barely manuever. Once seated we ordered drinks and our food. Drinks came out incorrect and starter course was incorrect and/or had run out. We also did not have silverware once the salads came out. Observations around us included: the table next to us had to wait for 15 minutes for drinks/glasses; another table had to ask 6 times for a refill; other tables seated after us were getting their food before us... which indicated a severe lack of coordination and lack of consistent wait staff and no baby changing stations in the restrooms. We waited for an additional hour for our food and it did not come and neither did any refills- so we decided to leave (We had family members that had to work). Before leaving we spoke to the manager and he did not do anything to make amends or accommodate the travesty that had occurred. I was previously warned by a co-worker of a bad experience last year but wanted to give this local business the benefit of a doubt. It is unfortunate that our Thanksgiving meal for this year is ruined. Friends ate at other restaurants today and all reported good experiences.
