I have to say that my family and I where very impressed with Rob Smith. He is a 3rd generation General Contractor and it definitely shows. His was highly skilled and his guys were pleasant to deal with. He had an actual office where we could go over his plans and I witnessed Bobby Bowden give him a call to ask him to work on his place. It was pretty cool. His crew Installed granite counter tops, built a 4 car driveway for my mother, and fixed our shower pan issues. He also oversaw other sub-contractors that were working on our home. Just all in all a high quality company and a person. His bid was on target and he had workers' comp and general liability which made us feel like he was not some fly by night contractor cowboy.
Because I'm new to this area, I was looking for someone to do a bath renovation but I do not recommend Concept Construction Group as they do not return phone calls or emails. I guess his little girl in the office couldn't be bothered with my phone calls. After further research I have been informed that they also are neglectful in paying there Subs on time. Thankfully I've dogged this bullet!!!!
Rob is capable of producing good work, but doesn't seem to want to answer his phone or return voice mail messages. We ended up parting ways before the job was completed because he would not respond. There were many issues with the work that was done that had to be corrected later by another contractor. Also note that we had to pay his electrical sub to keep him working since he had not been paid in some time (and other subs mentioned they were not being paid in a timely manner). That said, Jose was a good worker and really tried...
First, I would like to point out that one of the people who gave Rob a 5 star rating not once but twice works for him. Of course she would give him good reviews. Second, I do not recommend working with Rob. He does not pay his subcontractors and then when they confront him about it he threatens to report them. He request work from subcontractors then request that work be completed with the cheapest materials money can buy. Completely unprofessional.
He was very detailed and he did weigh in on what was popular and "hip". I would refer this guy to anyone. Hats off to Rob Smith and his crew at Concept Construction Group! From Concept to Completion!
Pain in the ass. Would not hire Concepts again if I was paid to use them. This guy Rob is a first rate scam artist. Butters you up with a fair price and timeline for the job, then promptly stops talking to you. Does not answer, does not respond to texts/voicemails....unless he wants money. My 3 week job took 6 months and still wasn't finished. We parted ways. This business is a first rate dump. do not use. You have been warned.
