I liked this place at one time. And then I saw manager and wait staff stand by like dummies when a gang of loudmouths came in and began to throw plates so they could walk out without paying. No one was even trying to call the police. Everything tastes like it was fried in yesterday's grease. I want to like this place because a friend of ours is a regular and he wants to go there. We can no longer join him there unless we just get tea but we prefer not to even do that now. I had a buffet food bringer not watching where he was going ( I was standing still ) back into me and then step into my low hanging purse, nearly drop his tray of catfish and curse at me in a low tone and call me racist based names. Not good.
Left without a family gathering to attend, this became our dinner destination and the three of us were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious all night and the service was outstanding. The cooks constantly checked in with me as I made plates, and it was overall a great holiday experience. I am definitely returning in the near future, I'm so glad we did not settle for Golden Corral.
Worst experience ever. Please do yourself a favor and don't go there. First of all you have to pay before you you even get in, then you go in the food is really cold all of the food very disgusting. When we asked for a fresh food they were very rude. Very disappointed and never again.
This was my second time here. Absolutely amazing food and service. If you have a soul food craving, this is the place to be!
Every time I've ever been here it was good. Anyone who says it is not is lying because they had a bad experience. I will agree that the service from the wait staff is a bit uninviting sometimes, but every food establishment has this problem. It is an older looking building that could use a refurbish on the inside, but I've never noticed anything, "dirty." The best part about this place is definitely the price. You can always go directly across the street to Golden Corral and pay twice the price if this place is not good enough for you.
