They need to amp up their on-the-phone and in-person customer service skills. Recently called to ask about some tires I had replaced some years ago, and the man on the other end was kinda rude and brushed me off. Didn't even ask me if I wanted to bring my car in and get my tires replaced. So...Firestone just lost business. Was very strange.
I'm a daddy in Tampa, with a daughter who is a senior at FSU. She got an idiot light, which was a tire pressure sensor warning. Told her to find the nearest Firestone, I have all my work done at Firestone in Tampa (Westshore Blvd), and see if they could help. Told her Sunday was the WORST day, but maybe they could help. They did a driveway diagnostic, one tire was missing a valve cap, told her to pull to the back they'd check it immediately. Joel checked all the tires immediately, made sure pressure was correct, replaced the valve cap, all "no charge." Spoke with Joel's manager, Kevin, and he said: "anything we can ever do to help, have her come on in..."
Terrible place, not only overpriced but the job is very badly done, parts are not put back. Almost dangerous.

Only place I'll get auto service done in Tallahassee. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Decent prices for quality work. Never had to take my car back for a poorly done job. Helped me out a lot after getting ripped off by Sears. Price estimates are always exactly or greater than what they charge you.
