I was a stroke patient at this facility and had a God awful experience. The medical staff were rude and showed little concern regarding my well-being and safety. I was left on the toilet for over an hour because I kept calling for help. When we had physical therapy, we were lined up against the wall awaiting our turn with the PT, who was overloaded with patients. I saw other patients who were neglected because unfortunately, they were not able to speak up for themselves. When rolling my wheelchair past the nurses station on my way to PT, I would often hear catty remarks directed at me. There was a very unpleasant incident with a female janitor who started a terrible rumor about my husband. However, when I went to the Director with my complaint, the response was, "But she has been with us for over 20-years." When I was released and started therapy on an out patient basis, I only went twice. The therapist's friend, also an employee, was given preference and I had to wait because she was on her lunch hour. The place is a pit of vipers and it was a miserable experience. I call the place Hell South. Stay away. These are true and accurate experiences.

My husband has been here for four weeks and I have to say that it was talked up to be way better than it actually was. The therapy is good but I'm sure that that is because my husbands therapist before HS recommended one of the best here. But the nursing staff is garbage... they have MAYBE a hand full who actually cared and were kind to my husband. when others, he inconvenienced them by asking them to do what we were ultimately paying them for and half the time left him sitting for hours in urine or feces or whatever. As I was walking out I literately watched nurses standing at counter conversing while he was in need of aide. Just to see what they were about when I wasn't there to do their job for them. The doctor was Very rude and inconsiderate. And prescribed my husband meds that his thyroid specialist said not to take. They consistently disregarded the opinions and requests of neurology specialist, orthopedic specialist, thyroid specialist and any other health providers who have been dealing with my husbands condition for 2 years prior to HS taking over. The administration lied on serval occasions, claiming that they had submitted an extension of care when the insurance company said that they had not. My guess is that they were getting so sick of the complaints that they were going to push the discontinuation of care off on the insurance company. The ONLY good thing I can say is regarding the therapy that he received, which ultimately is what we were here for anyways, most were very awesome and friendly and were really great at motivation. Other were good but the bed side manners were poor.
