Where on earth could I possibly begin? I moved into a house that was nothing short of a homeless shelter. The house was in shambles and almost falling apart. If it were not for our own efforts the house would have remained in this condition. The house continually needed maintenance, which was seldom responded to by Darden. Numerous maintenance issues caused massive increases in utilities and other expenses that were never reimbursed by Darden and should have never been our responsibility. When attempting to contact Mr. Darden about these issues he simply dodged calls and emails, leaving us to bear the burden. I consider Darden nothing short of a crooked company that will take advantage of their tenants to avoid incurring expenses that they are responsible for.
Anyone who has rental units knows that not all tenants are created equally, however the true test of a company is when everything goes wrong. We just had one of "those" tenants and Darden made the transition to new tenants a simple non stressful thing.
I rent an apartment from Darden and so far I have had no problems with them. My refrigerator went out on Tuesday and they had Lowe's deliver a new one the next day. Other issues have been corrected in a timely manner also.
Darden Property Management has been managing several units for me since early 2012. It is nice to find a company who can handle all aspects of property management seamlessly.
It's nice to have have people on top of everything and that know how to communicate and respond quickly.
I would not recommend renting from Darden Properties. They are incredibly difficult to communicate with, which results in unwarranted fees and fines. For example, our dumpster wasn’t emptied when it should have been causing the trash too over flow. Instead of addressing the issue with the city, the party responsible for emptying the dumpster, darden fined all residents for trash being outside of the dumpster. We’ve also been waiting on a work order for a month.
I would give them zero stars if I could. However I rented from them for a year. Prior to my moving I put in a work order for the toilets which they never came and fixed. In the rental agreement I was never told I couldn't have a pool or trampoline which had a net around it but I was then informed that's why my lease wouldn't be renewed. After all the mess they kept my deposit and charged me an additional $720! Ginger and Jessica are so seriously extremely rude and unprofessional. You have to talk to one that has to talk to the other that has to talk to the owner. Never ever rent from them unless you have to and then watch yourself because they will screw you.
