Conflict between who was going to do the work, Darden or the owner. Things didn't get resolved in 6 months (such as BLACK MOLD and living room flooding during a rain) and then we were made to be the bad guy. Blatant lies from the owner to the rental company and Darden saying, flat out, they'll take his word over ours. Told us black mold wasn't an excuse to break a lease even though we had an infant in the house. The AC unit was to small for the home ( reached temps of 90 degrees in home ) so we ran a window unit AND a portable AC unit on top of the central unit to cool the house... Multiple licensed AC professionals came out and said the unit was too small, Darden told us to turn off all units but central to show them AFTER professionals said it was too small. I have an infant (1 month old at the time) in there and they expected us to allow it to heat up that high. Wouldn't give us notice on wanting to come out and then acted it was our fault for having dogs and jobs (wife refused to see them alone). All the window and door seals were bad so couldn't keep moisture, bugs, and mosquitoes out of the house. On top of all of this, they charged us a $300 administrator fee just to sublease the home. I had to show the home, I had to take phone calls, I had to leave work early to get the place looked at. The $300 was just an inconvenience fee really. I went against all the other reviews because the home seemed so nice, but I'll tell you... the worst decision we made was using them.
If I could do negative stars, I would. Company did ZERO cleaning before we moved into the property. We dealt with an INFESTATION of fleas from the previous owners. Floor in the living room about to rot away, giant gaping hole in the bathroom wall just patched with putty and paint. Promised they would do HUNDREDS of necessary repairs and they only fulfilled two or three things. Full of lies and just an overall terrible company. If you want to live somewhere that's even just healthy, don't live here! :)
