I came in with a broken radiator hose the part itself cost 50$ however the labor cost and "other" is whopping 280$ so I asked why is the labor cost so high? Well your car a Chrysler Sebring convertible Is different in that we have to disemble the entire front section to get to the hose and replace it. Ok so I called Chrysler dealership I explained to them the problem and what pep boys was telling me and I took pictures and emailed it to him. He told me that they in fact DO NOT need to disemseble the front to get to the hose my convertible has a different way that is not similar to other cars you just have to know the proper way to do it and the labor costs from CHRYSLER WAS 108$ so why is pep boy in total after taxes and hidden fees trying to charge me 363$$$$ IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH A SPECIFIC TYPE OF CAR AND YOU ARE UNSURE OF HOW TO FIX IT THE SOULUTION IS NOT TO OVERCHARGE CUSTOMERS DUE TO THE INABILITY OF PEPBOYS TO HIRE WELL TRAINED MECHANICS IN RESPECTS TO ALL CARS! It's ridiculous and on top of that mechanics are lazy! I am the only person in the store my car is the only one in the working zone and the mechanic is walking around taking smoke breaks when I'm being charged for labor that is an estimated 1.7 hours I've been here since 12:00 it is now 3:00 !! Worst experience I've ever had !
In December 2015 I took my vehicle to get an oil change here ONLY because I received a gift card for their services. My oil change took three hours because no one could get the oil cap back on. In turn, they did not charge me for the oil change and gave me a free oil change for my next visit (which is nice, I'll give them that). Sometime in 2016 I took my car back to them for another oil change. Despite it taking way too long considering I had an appointment scheduled in advance, it seemingly went fine. Fast forward to 2017 and I take my car to a different mechanic not affiliated with Pep Boys. They cannot get the oil cap OFF because it has been incorrectly threaded and forced back on. No one can unscrew it, and no man there can get it off. To get it off would mean they need to break it off and that could cost $400 since the oil pan would subsequently be damaged in the process. All I can surmise is that after the three hours of trying to get the oil cap on, Pep Boys' employees forced the cap back on and did not notify me. This also lead me to believe that the last time I took my car in for an oil change they didn't even attempt to remove the oil cap since no one can get it off now and Pep Boys was the last place to see my vehicle the last several times I took it anywhere.
I was stranded and needed a tire. I was told by another store to go to this one because they had my size there. I still had to make it to Jacksonville . They came out with a tire and told me they would be able to get it on for me . I sat there for around two + hours before they came out and said that they didn't have my size...I said you came out with it ..She informed me that it wasn't the right size. I wasted all that time. I was so mad. I found help with a 24 hour road side tire service who had the size I needed and it ended up being so much cheaper and they were very nice kind and helpful .

I always had great service when getting an oil change. I called to ask a question and the man that answered the phone was extremely rude. He would not allow me to finish my sentence. You do not know what a person need until you hear them out. They lost my business.
