She also was told three different times I was and still am breast feeding my 6 week old son. I can't take any psych meds til after he's off. Otherwise a nice office to go too
I'm giving only 4 stars. I was happy with the nurse but rather upset with Dr.Gibson. She was nice til my daughter got clingy and worried about my health. She demand she sit down and the visit went ok. She didn't ask me once about previous medication I was on or was taking. She ordered Zoloft for me to take and didn't even tell me she had placed an order or who my preferred Pharmacy was.
About 10 years ago, I went to see Dr. Gibson for my annual visit. I was a new patient and didn't know a lot about her, only what I had researched. One of the reason's I chose Dr. Gibson is because she was an African American woman. Something that makes me proud. During my visit, she asked me what my goals were and about my future. I proceeded to discuss with her the things I wanted to do in life and some of the things I wanted to have. I told her that my dream car at that time was a Mercedes. Probably a dream car for a lot of people. During that time in my life, I was going through a divorce and had lost everything but my sanity. I went from a well paying job to a job that paid a little more than minimum wage. Therefor, I needed medical assistance from the state for my kids and myself. I thought the Dr. was going to council me and give me words of encouragement. Something along the lines of " with hard work, you can accomplish anything you put your mind to". Instead, the doctor tells me that she could see that I was on medicaid and because I was on assistance, that told her that I would probably never own a Mercedes. Talk about a punch in the gut!!!! I know this was 10 years ago but it has stuck with me for all these years. I can say that I didn't get the Mercedes. Instead, in 2014, I was blessed to take home a 2014 Nissan Sentra and I am so grateful to God. I also took home the title that same day. I have three daughters of my own and I encourage them on a daily basis. The last thing they need is to hear their mother tell them what they will never accomplish. I hope the doctor remembers this the next time she decides to council one of her patients. I give the doctor one star only because i have to give at least one to post
My husband and I met Dr. Gibson yesterday- (we both had new patient appointments). We thought she and her staff were great! Dr. Gibson was warm, friendly and thorough and she offered great advice and tips! Her staff was top-notch too!
With much respect and regards to Gr Gibson, Ms Samantha and staff, I thank you all dearly and sincerely for being professional, to the point and caring about me and my concerns when I needed you,
RUDE RECEPTIONIST AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I HAND DELIVERED A FORM NINE BUSINESS DAYS AGO AND I AM SITTING AT OFFICE BEING TREATED VERY RUDELY BECAUSE THE FORM IS STILL SITTING ON DR. GIBSON DESK UNTOUCHED. ONE WOMAN CAME OUT SAYING I WAS CUSSING BUT NO ONE IN THE LOBBY HEARD ME SAY ONE CUSSWORD NOR DID THE INSURANCE COMPANY I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH REPORTING A GRIEVANCE REPORT FOR THE UNPROFESSIONALISM. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!
