If you are on medically needy, and Medicaid gives this facility as one that accepts this type of "insurance", don't even waste your time. I was given the run around for 3 weeks, waiting to see if a doctor would "accept" my case only to finally be told they would not. I met my share cost and have full medicaid, which this office does accept, but was refused an appointment for whatever unknown reason. I'm in really bad shape and almost to the point of being disabled, and I'm in desperate need for someone to help me....but yet I'm turned away just because... even though medicaid would have paid for everything. Kinda crazy to me. They should have told me 3 weeks ago they wouldn't see me instead of telling me, wait 3-5 days, then again 3- 5 more days until it turned into 3 weeks. No reason for this and no reason why I couldn't get an appointment. And on top of that, each time I called to check to see if I had been accepted, each receptionist had no clue to who I was or what I was remotely talking about even they are the ones telling me to fax stuff over for review (which included my name and contact #). They also said they'd call me and let me know what was going on, but never received 1 phone call. Unprofessional. Doctors could care less about helping people in need, more like a paycheck......which they would have gotten
Dr. Loeb's 30 plus years of experience treating 80 or more of the same injury was a huge be benefit for me. Thank you Dr. Loeb and staff!
Excellent care and service from the time i walked in. Thorough, detailed and willing to listen.
Ninety eight days ago i strained something in my calf playing basketball. North Florida Sports Medicine did a exceptional job helping me understand what was wrong and what i could do right away to be more comfortable. The injury was sever enough to warrant an emergency room visit at TMH. There did not appear to be any significant issues, I was on my out of the ER after about an hour. Six weeks later the injury, which i have had twice before over the last 25 years, did not seem to be getting better as quickly has it had before. I went to the walk in clinic at the other orthopedic clinic in town and saw an physician's assistant relatively quickly. I was told i was about half way through the 2 or 3 month healing process and to wait it out. They did not recommend an MRI at the time. "why spend the $1,200.00 on an MRI, you seem to be healing." Ten weeks into the injury with minor improvement I went back into the walk in clinic. This visit took several hours. After waiting for a while i asked the staff about how much longer it would be. They indicated I needed to be seen by the same doctor as my first visit and that she would be available shortly. When I mentioned the PA i saw on my last visit was a man, I was seen relatively quickly by another PA. Not the one i saw the first time. The second PA felt something was a little off with my injury and ordered an MRI. Fifteen days after my MRI I spoke with the another staff person who indicated my MRI had NOT been reviewed by the doctor i was assigned to. At that point i had all my records sent to North Florida Sports Medicine. A week later i was seen by Dr. Loeb. He quickly identified my issue, told me how to manage it and some steps i could take to make it more comfortable while the healing progressed. For the first time in ninety eight days I knew exactly what was wrong, how long it would actually take to heal (4 to 6 months) and a simple action I could take right now to be more comfortable. That simple action helped immediately. My limp was minimized and my ankle became less swollen.
This place is horrible. I was sent here due to workmans comp, and the dictator basically said, "walk it off". I sprained my ankle severely, and all stozell did was say, "I looked at your reports and I see nothing, so walk on it and see if that helps".
This office is a joke. Goto TOC if you can...
The staff is horrible! Penny and Tracy are very rude and denied making me another appointment by telling me I needed to wait. Dr. is very nice and professional, but they may his office look bad.Go to TOC no matter how long you have to wait.
