I tried to change my Primary Care Physician to this office, but unfortunately the "Receptionist" wasn't able to understand an eight digit number and kept telling me my member id number wasn't my member id number. She was very rude and unprofessional. When I asked for her name she quickly spits "hold on" and places me on eternal ignore. I hang up and call back and request to speak with the Office Manager, I was sent to some voice mail (probably the dead space voice mail box). I didn't even waste my time leaving a message. Whomever runs this office may want to think about hiring someone with at least a little customer service/phone etiquette, because that one call to your office has made me choose another physicians office.
That decision still weighs on me given in this experience I have terrible HG when pregnant and found myself in the emergency room 3 times and calling leaving multiple voicemails about refills I never received and was never even asked about following HG digressing after 16 weeks prego. That sucked. Then the resident I met and loved immediately , esp after reading his bio being married with 2 children of his own, I have never seen again but have seen multiple people whose names I honestly don't even remember. Then upon me asking about the doctor and if he would deliver and finding out a random doc /resident combo would whom I may not have ever seen would I asked the resident who looked about 20 her damn self how old would the resident/doc be and how many years of experience and she sarcastically responded of course they would have experience 1st year, 2nd year whatever they all have experience that's what they do, that's how it goes... Uh no wench I know how it goes but I also know deliveries can get complicated and a resident wouldn't know what an experienced doc would.
i have gone to them on and off for 9 years now. the few doctors that i have seen have been good for the most part. didn't enjoy my prenatal appointment i had with them this time. and i just had my baby girl who was premature, and tried to set up an appointment with them, got one for a time that i had to take off work, which i couldn't make due to transportation issues, so i have called 3 times to reschedule, each time getting an automated machine, and still after 4 days have not got a call back. just called elsewhere and got my baby girl an appointment, for a good time and date, and it was fast and easy, unlike tmh family medicine....
I have been here since relocating to Tallahassee for school 7 years ago and this has been the only physician office I have been seen and up until pregnancy loved it. I have experienced the waiting at the front but realized it only happened with some of the receptionists so no big deal. Previously the residents I saw (2) I would see consistently until their residency was over, 2-3 years, so there was def familiarity and a relationship established. So once I discovered I was pregnant I figured I would stay...
I was informed they do of course supervise their residents however she was unable to provide any other relevant info to my situation particularly, making my question all the more important. Anyway, pre pregnancy experiences with this place were perfectly fine however I believe one esp with riskier pregnancies would fair better with a sole physician where one at least knows who will cut you, epidural, snatch that baby out lol. And they will obtain a full history for you as well.
Love the residency program. Very sad to learn today that I am losing my resident Dr. Leah Anderson earlier than anticipated. Since there is not a place to rate your resident... I am doing it here. I cannot say enough about the outstanding care I have received from Dr. Anderson since 2015. My husband and I are a couple of complex medical cases and she has always addressed our medical care with a great deal of professionalism, compassion and knowledge. She really cares about her patients and LISTENS.. which sadly is a very important element missing with ALOT of practitioners today. We were both very fortunate to have her as our physician and she will be greatly missed. Thank you Dr. Anderson and Best wishes as you move into a new rotation.
This place was cool until a couple days ago, my doc won't reach out to me about what's going on with my blood work they're leaving the receptionist to deal with it and all they got to offer is a whole bunch of bs. I've called and called, updated my info with one lady and then another lady, hopefully my new number saved with the second one. One said my doc said to schedule a follow up for results, another said why not wait til your appointment next month, another said would u like to talk to a nurse and hung up, I just feel when someone is trying to check their health status with their regular docs office it shouldn't be so much trouble. I'm stressing, losing weight, n growing grey hair right now. I only prey the matter isn't urgent and I believe it isn't because some one should have the decency to let me know.
