Beautiful apsrtment, but exceptionally rude staff and customer service. They held my rent check for 2 months, have entered my apartment to inquire about rent, and have tried charging my for the same month twice. I am disgusted by the way they have handled this business relationship, and am concluding that they have tried to scam me. My neighbor last year had similar stories but I brushed it off because I thought the owner was cool. If you're thinking of renting from them, don't. It's not worth living in a place with a disrespectful landlord.
I rented a property with Lauer for six years. Everyone I've worked with over the years was professional, quick to respond if I needed help, and friendly. Look, you get what you give. I got 5 star service because I wasn't an entitled college brat living off my parents, expecting Lauer to provide services that weren't in my lease (like lawn care) or to drop everything and respond to my every minor complaint. It's not an apartment complex, maintenance doesn't live on site. Sometimes you have to wait for things to get fixed because other tenants have more serious issues than you. To be fair, if I did put in a maintenance request (properly, through the website), they always had someone out to see me within a couple days, depending on how serious of an issue it was.
I don't have anything to gain from posting this. I moved out of my rental with Lauer several months ago when I took a job on the other side of the country. They treated me well and I just don't think they deserve to be dragged down by a bunch of garbage low ratings.
Lauer Real Estate Group recently bought my apartment complex from its previous owner. Shortly after the purchase my shower faucet began not shutting off, causing a constant stream of hot water to flow from it 24 hours per day. This occurred about three days before I took a previously planned month long vacation. Before leaving I did my best to ensure that the property manager knew I would not be home, and that the issue needed to be fixed. I even emailed him a reminder that it needed to be fixed while I was away. When I returned home, not only was the faucet still running (1+ month later), but all of my furniture and possessions had mold on them due the the humidity caused by the running water.
For the love of god, please please please DO NOT rent from Lauer. We moved into one of their houses because it was a nice size for a good price. That being said, the integrity of this company is so low. After moving out, Lauer went to every length to take as much of our security deposit as possible. Even though we moved out early (still paying for our rent so that we weren't breaking our lease), Lauer still waited almost 2 months to inspect the property and send us a claim, which by the way, is ILLEGAL, since they are supposed to do it within a month of MOVE OUT. They know that it would cost us more money to file suit against them, so they can get away with it. PLEASE, no matter what decent price you can get for a property here, it is not worth the frustration. Every time you call the office, IF you manage to get someone on the phone, you'll just be passed off from person to person. And god forbid if you call more than once about a problem, you'll get a different answer because no one seems to know what they're doing or talking about. Please just save yourself the trouble and rent from someone else.
LREG is a great property management company to work with. They go the extra mile to make sure that the apartments are at top notch shape... Great! customer service is what you can expect once you step in their office. We highly recommend LREG!
